The initial job function will be to work with a Senior Engineer and learn how to develop a technical quotation for a metal cutting machine and a manufacturing line. A mechanical aptitude with automotive components is of great advantage.
Within two years, we expect this individual to grow into the primary function of reviewing and evaluating inquiries independently and to develop comprehensive and competitive engineering proposals. Participate in technical review meetings with our customers is part of the responsibility of a Proposal Engineer at GROB Systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Analysis of customer inquiries / request for quotes
Technical evaluation of the scope of supply
Composition of technical proposals and support in developing layout and pricing
Technical proposal review with the customers
Coordination of proposal files
Internal Job order release in case of a purchase order through customer
Hand over and support to the project management team
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings
Proficient use of AutoCAD (2012 and higher)
Knowledge of mechanical design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
