Our Glenwood Springs, Colorado office is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with Land Development emphasis to: •Forward SGM’s mission to make its clients successful by developing and delivering practical, innovative solutions •Provide engineering expertise in land development including planning, design and management of projects •Adeptly manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, budget, schedule, client expectations and internal project team performance •Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Minimum qualifications for the successful candidate are: •Strong desire to live, work, and play in Western Colorado •8+ years of experience in civil engineering including extensive drainage analysis and design, site design and grading, roadways, utility service, plan preparation and permitting •Current Colorado PE license in civil engineering or related field •Experience with progressive drainage regulations and design solutions, particularly those in compliance with Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD, Denver, CO) criteria •Strong written and oral communication skills •Project management experience with strong performance record •AutoCAD/Civil 3D familiarity •Excellent client service skills •Proven ability to work with demanding regulatory agencies to successfully permit and complete projects
Additional Preferred Qualifications: •Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field •3+ years of experience as a lead client service/relationship manager •2+ years of direct staff supervision experience •Desire to mentor entry-level engineers and be a team leader •Track record of successfully developing new business
