The person hired for the position of Quality and Lean Manager will be responsible for continuing design, implementing, and maintaining both the Quality Management System & Lean Manufacturing System in addition to leading our training organization.
Determines directions, priorities and assigns resources with full accountability for results of functional area. Implements action plans to ensure adequate level of quality service to customers. Directly engages with customers on quality of supply insuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement through the utilization of quality & lean tools while driving improvements through project execution and coaching and teaching others.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key member of Plant Leadership Team contributing to the plant’s safety, quality, service, efficiency, cost, sustainability, and people development objectives.
Provides direct supervision to professional and support levels which include objective setting, performance management, and motivating, as well as training and coaching.
A key member of the Division Quality Leadership Team contributing to the design and implementation of a Division Quality Management System (QMS), compliant with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standard and consistent across the five IMPD sites
Facilitates planning & execution of quality management plans to drive continuous improvement of the QMS.
Coaches/trains teams to ensure understanding and application of the Quality Management System including identification of critical inputs, establishment of metrics and monitoring of process performance
Assures quality tools and methodologies are consistently used effectively and efficiently across the organization
Supporting the deployment of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee engagement.
Leading, teaching, and coaching employees at all levels of the organization on lean principles and leadership behaviors to drive engagement in the process.
Facilitating the development and maintaining the site’s lean implementation plan and collaborate with division and business group leadership, other sites, and groups in the plan development.
Leading continuous improvement events and projects resulting in sustained improvements in manufacturing processes and also resulting in employee skill and knowledge development.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum of four (4) years of combined experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance
Minimum of one (1) year of combined supervisory and/or management experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Business, Management or a Technical discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of combined supervisory and/or management experience
Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 Standard and experience implementing a QMS
Experience with Lean Management Systems
Six-Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
Demonstrated ability to lead an organization to effectively deliver key operational objectives
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written); including persuasion skills.
Track record of integrity and delivering strong business results
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Microsoft Office proficient, Minitab or other statistical tools a plus
Location: Little Rock, AR
Travel: May include up to 20% domestic
Relocation: Is authorized
