Design and development of test equipment, machines, fixtures, and instrumentation required to test and qualify products, including shock absorbers, rate controls, actuators, dampers, elastomer and wire rope isolators, and special products to meet customer expectations.
Designs and specifies test equipment, endurance rigs, instrumentation, and fixtures required to test and qualify Enidine products to defined specifications.
Builds hardware, writes software profiles, and performs test system troubleshooting.
Develops and validates test equipment and test setups required to test Enidine products.
Helps establish and write Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Procedures, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Qualification Test Reports to defined specifications.
Helps establish and write detailed testing instructions for test technicians and operators.
Works with Manufacturing Engineering to review production test fixture designs and helps validate production test fixtures.
Collaborates with other groups including design, manufacturing, and purchasing. Works with outside test facilities to coordinate testing as required to meet customer requirements.
Coordinates all activities concerned with test fixtures, machines, scheduling, costing, and resolving test problems. Writes macros to efficiently process test data. Helps update existing test systems.
Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Prepares and monitors progress of equipment schedules.
Runs testing and documents test set-up parameters and results as required.
Works with Design Engineering to report and interpret test setup and results. Trains test technicians on proper use of test equipment.

Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as Test Engineer or Mechanical Machine Designer.
Project engineering experience required.
Test fixture design and development experience required.
Test machine design and development experience required, preferably multi-axis machines.
Hands on experience with general laboratory electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, voltmeters ,power supplies, data acquisition systems, force, pressure, displacement, velocity transducers, and accelerometers is a must.
Matlab, and Visual Basic skills a preference
CAD, Solid Works or other 3-D CAD systems experience required.
Ability to use ANSYS for FEA of machines and fixtures.
Machining and fabrication experience required.
Hydraulic system experience required.
Experience with installation, operation and maintenance of hydraulic actuators, servo valves, manifolds, and pump systems.
Must possess strong communication skills.
Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other design software to complete design and specification of test equipment.
