The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader’s role is to identify, lead, and execute the CI strategy via Lean and Six Sigma methods within their assigned business or segment(s) to deliver bottom line, quantified results.
Perform business assessment, planning, facilitation, execution of kaizen events, and sustainment through standard work and procedures.
The CI Leader will drive the cultural transformation through the business building effective matrix teams and driving involvement and talent development.
Reporting directly to the Director of Quality with dotted line to Senior Operations Management.
Regularly interacting and providing insight and influence at all levels from business leaders to shop floor associates in leading and encouraging CI initiatives and
Access and generate measurement and assessment tools enabling operational and CI leaders to evaluate
Project manage approved Continuous Improvement programs by coordinating necessary resources and setting and implementing budgetary and timing controls to achieve chartered goals.
Coach, counsel and train operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert while empowering operational staff and associates to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.
Track and report on project improvement metrics.
Typically have 3+ year’s related business, operations, or lean experience (technical and/or manufacturing) preferred. Six sigma training preferred (Green or Black belt).
Bachelor’s degree in a technology field preferred.
Some manufacturing experience preferred.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead Change.
Domestic travel required up to 50%.
Strong quantitative and analytical capability – statistical background and computer literacy
Solid understanding of business issues, metrics, and customer value.
