The role: The successful appointee will conduct and support research activities for the corporate client Nexgen Plants Pty Ltd, with a particular focus on leading a variety of plant transformation and tissue culture activities. Nexgen Plants (http://www.nexgenplants.com/) is an emerging plant trait company delivering intragenic solutions for a range of pathogens, production traits and consumer traits. Our aim is to help agriculture-dependent communities around the world improve returns and respond rapidly to emerging opportunities and challenges.
The person: Applicants should possess relevant postgraduate qualifications or commensurate research experience. You should also have demonstrated knowledge and experience in using and establishing new plant transformation protocols, a track record of related publications, a collaborative mindset, and strong interpersonal, communication and record keeping skills.

Remuneration: This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Research Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range AUD$64,533 - $81,545 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$75,504 - $95,408 p.a.).
