UNSW Canberra Space sits within the School of Engineering and Information Technology and is becoming the trusted Australian go-to partner for agile Research and Development, Education and Thought leadership in local and global space transformation. It is achieving this by building the capability within the group to rapidly deliver game-changing space missions and payloads underpinned and driven by a program of academic space science research and technology development. About the role and Successful Applicant
The Spaceflight Team is seeking a talented Software Engineer with a background in mission critical Software/Firmware design in the Space/Automotive sectors. As a member of the team the Software Engineer will design and test mission critical software architectures, and participate in the software-and-hardware-in-the-loop testing of the on-board flight software and ground control software for single and multiple spacecraft cubesat-class flight missions.
The successful applicant will have a rare opportunity to work in an exciting environment and multi-disciplinary team to deliver space missions working across the full life-cycle; from concept and technology development, to design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, flight operations and decommissioning.
