The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is seeking a Project Manager in the Division of Project Planning and Program Development. The Project Manager will be a part of the management team involved in the planning of projects related to the transportation facilities owned, managed, and operated by the MDTA. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating work assignments and representing the MDTA at meetings with federal, State, and local elected officials, community groups, and the general public. The incumbent will manage major projects through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Maryland Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) processes to include engineering and environmental technical analysis, public involvement, and documentation efforts related to the development of plans for the future use and improvement of MDTA facilities. This position is also responsible for representing the MDTA in partnering with the State Highway Administration (SHA) on proposed new toll projects, including Public Private Partnerships with the private sector. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Seven (7) years' experience in professional engineering. *Five years of this experience must have been conducting National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies to include reviewing and/or drafting environmental technical reports.
