The Food Manufacturing Quality Assurance Director will be based in New Jersey, overseen both plants.

Quality Assurance Director - Food Manufacturing
Devising and establishing the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
Developing, recommending, and implementing methods, procedures and systems to achieve quality goals by creating plans and requirements, monitoring adherence to plan and ensuring the production of quality products
Direct Technical Services team for regulatory/product compliance through the commercialization process
Champion continuous improvement throughout the organization
Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet GFSI Global Food Safety Initiative Standards.
Monitoring and advising on the performance of the total quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance through KPI's.
Partnering with other business departments to ensure the procurement of materials that meet our specifications.
Recruiting, hiring, training staff, evaluating employee performance, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action
Ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications.
Managing corporate quality systems including TraceGains and other quality platforms.
Reviewing statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality assurance.
Drive continuous improvement teams to reduce waste.

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or other related degree.
Six Sigma training & certification with yellow belt or green belt required.
Minimum ten (10) years' experience with Quality responsibilities
Minimum five (5) years of previous Quality management/supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Direct experience with SQF or similar food industry production audits.
Comprehensive knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP principals, GMPs, SOPs and SSOPs, Pest Control and Allergen Control programs).
Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures including chemical, microbiology, and basic instrument testing, as well as sensory analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of statistical process control, quality assurance techniques and tools and quality management principles in a food manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work.
Lead ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus on food safety, quality assurance, and operations.
