Fire Alarm Systems
Work for a fast growing, small business that provides Fire Alarm and Special Hazard equipment and services to domestic and international private and government sector customers and clients. We have partnered and are a premiere distributor of Notifier® systems by Honeywell®. We provide our clients with the highest level of services and performance to ensure our customers, clients, and end users are receiving the most useful, comprehensive and code compliant installations in the industry.
Our company is currently seeking five individuals that possess a minimum of NICET III and have the necessary certifications to program, test and commission fire alarm and special hazard systems for projects currently in CONUS and OCONUS. We have the following positions available:
Fire Alarm Systems Designer
Fire Alarm Systems Technician
Special Hazards Technician
Fire Sprinkler Designer
Fire Protection QC/Procurement Manager
List of Fire alarm technician duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and product manuals to properly program and verify new systems. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Startup, troubleshoot, inspect and commission fire alarm and special hazard systems in accordance with plans, specifications, contract documents, as required by NFPA record of completion criteria.
Serve as a technical advisor on systems programming and configuration, as well as coordinate code requirements with Local, State and Government fire marshals.
Oversee and ensure proper completion of work performed by team members, and train technicians and other employees on proper procedures.
Evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot systems equipment that requires servicing.
Communicate systems performance to customer.
Communicate regularly with the senior systems coordinator on all low voltage projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
List of Fire alarm technician qualifications:
At least five years of related work experience required; seven or more years preferred.
Minimum of NICET Level III – Fire alarm/Special Hazard certification
Be able to obtain a security clearance.
Possess knowledge of computer programming and technologies related to fire alarm, security and other low voltage systems.
Knowledge of current state regulations and codes.
Ability to read schematics and follow written direction while working without direct supervision.
Must be willing to travel as required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with customers and employees at all levels of the organization. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
