Key Responsibilities •Will coordinate and manage water resources, utility design and/or storm water management projects •Will take a lead project management role on large projects and mentor engineers and technicians •Serve as subject matter expert and engineer of record on specific tasks or projects •Assist in preparation, compilation, review and presentation of results of planning and engineering studies including specifications and bid documents •Effectively convey proposed work efforts and project results in technical documents, interviews, and oral presentations •May perform one or more of the following depending on the individual’s background: water distribution system master planning, modeling and design, wastewater collection system master planning and design and pump station assessments and design •Will develop and maintain client relationships
Skills / Qualifications
Required •BS degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree •PE registration or ability to obtain PE registration within one year of hire is required •8+ years’ experience in water resources, utility design and/or storm water management engineering serving in increasingly complex positions acquiring, performing and managing projects •Ideal candidates will have a proven record of effective project management and have experience or interest in mentoring junior staff •Excellent technical writing and communication skills •We are seeking a PM with progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following areas:
?Municipal storm water master planning and design ?Water distribution system master planning, modeling and design ?Wastewater collection system master planning and design ?Pump station assessments and design ?Surface water modeling with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, 2D-Modeling and GIS experience ?Knowledge of and experience with FEMA and USACE floodplain management regulations and procedures ?Experience with FEMA’s Provisionally Accredited Levee (PAL) program and/or COE PL 84-99 program ?Assessment and design of dams and levees
•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Preferred •Recent, relevant experience managing projects requiring multi-discipline analysis and design of hydraulic structures including dams and levees, utility design or storm water management •Knowledge and experience in the Wichita, KS water resources engineering market
