Fire Alarm Technician managing all aspects of a federal contract providing annual test & inspect of fire detection systems in multiple buildings at a single site. Must be well versed in current NFPA, NEC, and IFC codes. Will interact with federal contracting personnel on a routine basis. Must be confident in your skilled abilities to correct system impairments, and effectively communicate issues verbally and in writing. Will be lead inspector, supervise, and direct assisting staff members. Will complete and sign all Test & Inspection Reports. Responsible for ordering parts, and keeping track of Government Furnished parts inventory. Will be on-call 24x7 one week per month. Project is located at Scott AFB in O’Fallon, IL. Systems range in age and complexity from dated to contemporary. All systems communicate via wireless Monoco transmitters to an on-site central station.
NICET II or above in good standing; Federal Background Check; Must have 2-5 years experience in Fire Alarm Repair, Maintenance, and Test & Inspection. Read, write, and speak English fluently; Good PC skills in MS Office; well organized; neat appearance; approachable.
