Seeking a Fire Alarm Technician for a Federal contract providing annual testing, installation, repair & inspection of fire detection systems in multiple buildings at a single site. Must be well versed in current NFPA, NEC, and UFC codes. Will interact with Federal contracting personnel on a routine basis. Must be confident in your skilled abilities to correct system impairments, and effectively communicate issues verbally and in writing. Will be required to direct and train a team of apprentices. Will complete and sign all Test & Inspection Reports daily. Responsible for providing part numbers and proper installation of parts. May be on-call 24x7 one week per month. Project is located at Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, TX. Systems range in age and complexity from dated to contemporary. All systems communicate via wireless Monaco transmitters to an on-site central station.
NICET II or above in good standing; Federal Background Check; Must have 2-5 years experience in Fire Alarm Repair, Maintenance, and Test & Inspection. Read, write, and speak English fluently; Good PC skills in MS Office; well organized; neat appearance; approachable. Must have current drivers license.
Additional Salary Information: All Salaries are negotiable based on experience. Company vehicle, 10 paid holidays, paid sick time immediately, paid vacation after 1 year, insurance, life insurance.

NICET Master Fire & Security Service Technicians
For over 50 years, the best place in the country to be trained in property protective technologies is the National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies (NICET). NICET offers four levels of national certifications. Technicians train in the classroom and on the jobsite for four years before reaching Level I. All Levels must pass extensive exams. All A-1 Fire & Security service technicians are NICET certified, Levels II – IV. Many of our team members have received additional certifications and specializations to better serve all our clients throughout central Texas.

Supervised by the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality, all technicians who install, repair, and maintain Backflow assemblies receive this specialized training and certification.
