Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an opportunity for a Sales Project Manager to drive growth within Ahern's Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Fire Protection group. The role will be located in Omaha, and will pave the way for Ahern's work in the area. The Fire Alarm & Special Hazards group is one of the fastest growing business units in the organization! How you will contribute:
Leverage your persuasion and relationship management skills through developing and growing a customer base in both service and contract work. Apply your project management abilities through performing preliminary take-off’s and calculations for the bid estimates, preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication, seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern’s fire protection projects are competitively bid. You will also be responsible for preparing scope and quotation letters for customers, maintaining estimate logs, participating in turnover meetings, and assisting with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested, assuming an active role in managing the projects from start to finish.

You should have at least five years of fire alarm or special hazards design, project management or field experience. Prior experience working within the service environment is preferable. Candidates must have excellent communication, a high level of detail orientation, and organizational skills. Delivering the highest quality customer experience will be essential. NICET certification is preferred. The ability to obtain it will be required of candidates that do not have it. OSHA 10 hour training will be required within 90 days of the start of employment.
