Manages and leads the implementation, application, and continual improvement of the Quality System for all ProTrans centers beyond compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Passion and drive to work in the quality department. Ability to understand that quality related activities and projects are not a one-time initiative---quality is a dynamic program that continually changes with the needs of the stakeholders.
Work closely with the different process owners to, define, measure, analyze, and establish root cause(s) and implement improvement initiatives to help achieve greater flexibility, lower costs, and improved stakeholder’s satisfaction.
Participate in the review of field performance audits against system standard processes to identify and realize improvement opportunities, compliance and process sustainability. Tools for this initiative include the Process Grid Walk program and gap analysis.
Participate in the management of continuous improvement initiatives triggered by the results of scheduled process grid walks, gap analysis and other related projects assigned by executives or requested by departments.
Participate in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Quality System documentation in accordance with ISO requirements and other regulatory bodies governing the company, such as CTPAT, Smartway and customer-specific processes.
Compile, manage and interpret and report statistical data summarizing quality assurance findings to help in the visibility of company quality performance: examples CPAR trends, risk assessment (e.g. CTPAT requirement), performance monitoring of centers, etc.
Review of all CPARs/customer responses requested by other teams such as Account Management, etc. to ensure accuracy and professional representation of ProTrans.
Performs other related projects as assigned and/or directed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university; candidates with 5 years quality related experience or quality certifications (such as Green Belt or Black Belt certification) will receive priority consideration. Ability to understand basic statistical analysis. Experience in quality management / ISO standard implementation and implementation of basic Lean tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English. Ability to speak, write, and read Spanish is also preferred.
Possess strong analytical skills and expected to have ability in extracting, documenting, and evaluating complex workflows which span across multiple business areas.
