Provide engineering support for te SAFCON fire and gas monitoring and maintenance operations. Primary tasks include project design, detailed design drawings, project management, preparation of engineering documentstion, assistance with the preparation of RFP/tender responses including product costs, labor estimates, etc. Assistance with the testing and commissioning of fire and gas monitoring and maintenance systems, supporting sales and interfacing with customers for requirements/specifications and delivery of designs and documents.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all design/engineering operational issues and plans and establish strategies for successful execution of a project
Liaison with sales personnel to coordinate efforts between sales and operations including direct support for sales efforts
Working with sales and other organizations with RigNet/SAFCON, help prepare detailed technical and commercial responses to RFPs and Tenders
Work closely with equipment suppliers on technical solutions, material BOMs and costs and work to develop partnerships or distributorships with key suppliers
Work with other groups including accounting to coordinate and validate invoicing, payable, shipments, etc.
Assist in the development of new or the revision to existing operation procedures to ensure on-going compliance with Industry and Regulatory standards
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts and work with finance and other groups on monthly and quarterly financial reviews
Demonstrate the ability to solve problems
Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Ensuring project deadlines are met
Support quality programs within RigNet/SAFCON which ensure compliance and maintainability of any certifications and compliance standards
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
5+ years working with Fire and Gas monitoring and maintenance systems and software
5+ years’ experience in project engineering execution including detailed design and documentation work
Minimum requirement of National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III - Fire Alarm Systems certification required
State of Louisiana Fire System and Fire Suppression certifications are a major plus
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Experience work with Office 365 suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
