Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated Department Manager to lead our mid-Atlantic structural department. This position’s responsibilities include supervising, managing, and mentoring structural design and bridge inspection staff; serving as the project manager for structural design, bridge inspection, bridge engineering, and sign and lighting foundation design projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region; participating in business development opportunities including writing technical proposals; and performing management tasks as required. Travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or structural engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will also have a PE license in any state or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following experience: leading structural design projects; mid-Atlantic region projects; management and mentoring of staff; project team management; business development; structural analysis and design software programs.
