The VMPS Specialist I supports the organizational Virginia Mason Production System (VMPS) implementation. This position may lead organizational or cross-departmental Rapid Process Improvement Workshops (RPIWs) as directed by Senior Leadership, through the VMPS Implementation infrastructure or Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO). Participates in strategic planning for VMPS implementation, ensuring alignment with Executive Leadership goals. Trains and coaches others, both within KPO and throughout the organization in VMPS principles and workshop leadership. Works in partnership with departments and key leaders to develop VMPS strategies and ensure adherence to the principles of lean thinking. Serves as an organizational resource for VMPS training and facilitation. May be asked to present, educate, and facilitate at all levels in the organization as well as to external audiences.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Two years of previous leadership experience required. Previous teaching experience preferred. Must be able to complete VMPS Leaders Training Program upon hire.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Must be able to successfully complete RPIW Leader Certification within one year of hire.
