General Manager - Water Quality Conditioning & Filtration

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Continue the development and leadership of a high performance team in the delivery of annual operating plans following Watts core values of integrity & respect, accountability, continuous improvement & innovation, and transparency (I-ACT)
• Drive and support a customer centric experience with both direct customers and with channel partners
• Establish and execute a business unit strategy with an emphasis upon developing and commercializing proprietary technologies, including smart & connected products. 
• Engagement and collaboration with other Watts business units and leaders in the support of overall / global growth.
• Engage and expand relationships with key suppliers and partners
• Cooperatively work with WQ-C&F operations team (matrixed)

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. MBA a plus.

MANAGEMENT:

• 6 Direct Reports operational and functional responsibility will include Product Management, Sales, Customer Service and Engineering, and its’ dotted line reports (operational responsibility) will include Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and other support functions.
• Ensure company policies are followed
• Enforce company safety policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive management experience in a B2B environment.  This experience could be gained with either a product manufacturer, or a relevant distributor.  Functional breadth in product development, as well as experience with a variety of different distribution channels, will be highly valued.  Experience with a wide variety of products and end use applications would also be valuable.  A mindset oriented towards solutions selling – vs. product selling – is critical.  

• Direct experience in the residential and commercial water quality treatment market
• Have a strong strategic and commercial sensibility ideally perfected/enhanced in a matrix organization. Sensitive to cultural issues. Knows how to get things done, especially leveraging influence/persuasive skills within a matrix organization.
• Possess a demonstrable track record showing top line and bottom line growth. Proven ability to effectively manage company resources.
• Demonstrate an ability to lead, to empower and to energize individuals at all levels of the organization, to meld together and achieve common objectives. Has led large or complex organizations.
• Be fluent in and committed to the philosophy of continuous improvement in all functions and processes.

• Possess the visioning skills to craft and execute a strategic plan that captures the opportunity created by emerging markets and product adjacencies.
