We partner with our clients to create human-centered conversations that elevate communities’ deep cultural and multi-generational relationships to the natural and built environments around us. As a consulting firm, we provide community engagement, outreach, facilitation, research, and creative services to a wide variety of clients, mainly in the public sector. We work on projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, land use, climate change, natural resources, energy, utilities, solid waste, etc. We work mainly in Washington and Oregon, with offices in Seattle and Portland.

The role
We are looking for a Proposal Manager with three to five years of hands-on experience in proposal and strategic pursuit development for consulting firms. The Proposal Manager will be part of our growing business development and marketing team, working closely with company leadership, project managers, and other departments to win new work in the Seattle and Portland markets.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, writing, deadline management, and multi-tasking skills. In addition, they must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a high-level of initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and professionalism. Knowledge of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry and the Pacific Northwest region is preferred.
Desired qualifications
- Has experience proactively searching for and reviewing RFPs/RFQs and making go/no-go recommendations
- Effectively guides teams in developing winning proposal strategies and content in response to RFP/RFQ requirements
- Demonstrates exceptional persuasive writing skills and can organize information into clear and compelling content for proposals, resumes, project descriptions, and other marketing materials
- Excels in their attention to detail and ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational skills
- Can partner with others to effectively track and analyze sales, win/loss, and other business development metrics
- Manages tight deadlines and can juggle multiple projects at once while delivering high-quality work on time
- Is an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with coworkers, external teaming partners, and fellow marketing professionals
- Responds insightfully and quickly to inquiries and requests for information from teaming partners
- Demonstrates proficiency in Office 365 and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Brings curiosity, creativity, and innovation to their work
- Actively seeks solutions to challenges and ways to improve, both personally and collectively
- Supports the growth and skill development of others and seeks to understand their skills, interests, and backgrounds

Conditions of employment
- Valid government or tribal issued photo identification is required. Local travel to sites/events outside of regular business hours
- Occasional weekend and evening work as we want to meet community members where they are. Our work schedules can be flexible depending on event timing and your preferences
