NORPAC is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Perform production process optimization and technical problem solving (cost, quality, reliability, production) consistent with NORPAC improvement goals
Support Production Management Team identifying specific areas of improvement from Goals and Plans
Recommend changes or improvements to process and/or process equipment
Prepare project scope for process trial plans and optimization efforts
Facilitate, develop, and hands on support of production personnel in problem solving
Act as the focal point for supplier contact with NORPAC for area equipment and related chemistry performance
Lead/facilitate evaluation of supplier proposals for production team, and review of supplier contract performance
Strong capital project input, i.e. project definition -- study feasibility in concert with project engineer, involvement in scoping, design, implementation, commissioning, and start-up
Participate in and support new product development activities
Search for new technologies to advance NORPAC in quality, reduced costs, and improved productivity
Investigate new process instrumentation to improve process controls
Lead or actively participate in problem solving mill-wide process concerns

Desirable:
2-5 years experience preferred in manufacturing and/or similar environment
Experience with Packaging Paper processes
Experience with 6-sigma, lean manufacturing, and design of experiments methodologies
